MENLO PARK, Calif., Jan. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Staffing firm Robert Half (NYSE symbol: RHI) recently joined the global list of signatories to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a joint initiative of the UNGC and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women).
The UNGC is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, with nearly 10,000 participants in 160 countries. By becoming a signatory, Robert Half has pledged to operate responsibly, in alignment with universal sustainability principles in four categories: human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
The WEPs build on the UNGC with additional guidelines for advancing gender equality. The seven Principles provide best practices for empowering women in the workplace, marketplace and community.
